Upholstery
Others' Methods
One of the most common shortcuts other detailers take is when cleaning upholstery: spraying the seats with an all-purpose cleaner, and then agitating with a drill brush. This technique, while mainstream has many issues: the rotary drill brush dreadlocks fibers, frays stitching and doesn’t lift the stain, rather it spreads it around the seat. All Purpose Cleaner residue can degrade delicate cloth interiors, leaving them feeling crusty and brittle. Using a ‘one size fits all’ cleaner on seats will inevitably be the wrong chemistry for certain stains and can permanently set them in the upholstery.
